New to iPad? Try AppStart
Have you just bought an iPad and you’re unsure about which apps to start off with? Or perhaps you’re coming from an iPhone and want to know how to make the best of the iPad’s larger screen? AppStar, produced by AppAdvice.com, covers all bases with a well designed and comprehensive list of apps, split into several categories according to the intended use. There are general categories such as “Appsolutely the first 10 apps everyone needs to download” as well as more specific list, for example “Games for non-gamers” and “Apps for musicians.” The makers of Appstart also provide guides to using an iPad, including an article called “How to dump your laptop; your iPad as a laptop replacement” which lists an iPad option for most, if not all, of the things you’d use your laptop for on a daily basis.
Aside from the usefulness of the app, it’s beautifully designed as well. The interface is very smooth, with a simple slide action between pages, and the text is nicely laid out. The featured apps can be bought by clicking the price tags next to each one.
The app is currently free in the App Store to celebrate the release of the iPad 2, so give it a go today!
